‘The Sound of Rain’ director begins new project

After a long absence from the directing scene, Hossein Soheilizadeh, director of hit series ‘The Sound of Rain’, ‘The Final Game’, and ‘A Mother’s Song’, has started work on a brand new project titled ‘The Mannequin’.

Soheilizadeh’s new project, currently in the pre-production phase, will consist of 26 episodes and will be produced exclusively for the home market.

A commentary on the film states: “Significant and appealing passions have always drawn great and dreadful foes.”

Cast members for ‘The Mannequin’ are still being selected with the final list set to be announced sometime next week.

Hossein Sohelizadeh began his film career in 1990 as an assistant director to Abulhassan Davoudi for his film ‘The Magical Journey’.

ifilm has featured many of the veteran director’s series including ‘Solace of the Heart’, ‘Worlds Apart’, ‘3-5-2’, ‘The Final Game’, ‘The Sound of Rain’, and ‘The Last Invitation’.

 ‘A Mother’s Song’, another one of Soheilizadeh’s works, is currently being aired on ifilm.
